A1-Legacy: Foundation Worth Building

A1-Legacy provides instructions for students in the first grade to the eighth grade.  At the academy, students at the early stages (first grade to third grade) will develop learning skills in phonics, reading, and writing.  From the fourth to the sixth grade, students will master skills in expository writing, intermediate to advance reading comprehension and develop the rudiments of creative, analytical and critical thinking utilizing American textbooks and supplementary reading assignments from story books. Students in middle school learn advance subject matters along with key strategy points to do well on tests like the iBT and TEPS. 

A1 Legacy uses nothing but the finest American textbooks to educate your students. The primary textbooks for the early grades are from Scott Foresman and as the students progresses up to fifth grade and beyond, the teachers utilize a plethora of resources from Glencoe, Holt, Discovery, Steck and Vaughn, etc.  Story books are primarily Newberry Award winner books mixed from time to time with American and International classics like Red Badge of Courage, A Wrinkle in Time, The Alchemist, A Thousand Splendid Suns, etc.
