Philosophy

    A1 Legacy's began in 2007 with the vision of Sophie, Paul and the faculty of A1 (comprising over 60 years in the education business) who desire to see Korea contribute to a true legacy of educational transformation by modeling the ethos of Virtue, Passion, and Responsibilty.  It is our intent to see a generation of young Korean leaders who are ready and responsible to take the mantle of leadership and take Korea into the global spotlight in areas of science, math, economics and politics.  We hope to aspire the students of A1 to reach to the stars and beyond one step at a time... 

Who We Are 

     A1 Legacy is your first and last stop at what an English academy should be in South Korea.  With a dedicated staff and faculty, A1 Legacy strives to create students and teachers with the advance skills necessary to thrive in today's academic and secular circles.  From the elementary student to the middle school student, A1 Legacy will teach and embody students to become masters of their own destiny.  We also embolden our teachers to pursue their dreams and many have gone on to open their own academies, pursue their master's degree or work at other institutions like ILE Daechi or Pride Academy Apkujung to further enrich students' lives.  We wish all of our students and teachers a future worthy of an endearing LEGACY.

What We Do

      A1 Legacy and A1 Republic are English academies located in Daechi, South Korea and serving students who desire to develop a passion to learn and foster skills to compete and succeed in today's global market.  A1's staff and faculty combined 50 years of knowledge and teaching experience create the educational environment to motivate and nurture students to think proactively and react constructively to the ever changing needs of the 21st century.

NEWS!

Benjamin Delanoy, former CDI head instructor and recruiter has joined the ranks of A1.  His six years of knowledge and expertise creates a new arena of teaching for our 5/6th grade students.

Debate

We offer debate classes for students in the 5th-8th grade.  Classes taught by a US national debate champion who has also started debate programs for both Seoul, and Kyughee University.

     We are eager to meet your prospective student, so come by to schedule a personal one on one interview with our staff. 

     Students must then pass a student assessment test that measures strength in reading and writing comprehension. 

     The student must then complete an interview with the current grade teacher to determine English proficieny whereupon the appropriate level will be designated for him/her.

Note:

The assessment test is a test that is also administered by many private schools in the United States.  The test is not a measurement of  pure intelligence rather a test to determine a student's ability to rationalize and comprehend reading and utilize one's writing skills.
